What began as a simple friendship nearly twenty years ago grew into the greatest love either of us could have imagined.

On November 27, 2021, fate stepped in. Two old friends, long separated by life and time, crossed paths unexpectedly at a sports bar in Las Cruces, NM. The moment the name “Lannie!” echoed across the room, everything seemed to pause — the world, the noise, even our breath. That hug, the one that felt like coming home, never truly ended. Our hearts had found their way to each other.

What followed was three years of long-distance devotion — countless video calls, endless conversations, and monthly drives between Las Cruces, New Mexico and Norman, Oklahoma. Every mile, every late-night call, every moment apart only strengthened what was already undeniable. Distance never felt too far when love was leading the way.

In June 2024, we finally closed the gap and built a home together in Las Cruces. The long drives became memories, the screens were replaced with shared mornings and quiet evenings, and we were finally under one roof — exactly where we belonged.

On May 28, 2026, we returned to the place where our story rekindled. At that same sports bar, surrounded by the echoes of our beginning, we got engaged. It was the most beautiful evening of our lives — a full-circle moment that marked the start of forever.
